Hill Holt Wood is an environmentally based organisation that promotes the sustainability message thorough its educational work with young people, its woodland management schemes and it’s partnerships with numerous interest groups, local authorities and the local community.

The WREN Community Hall at Hill Holt Wood has been constructed of rammed earth walls with a unique double reciprocal roof designed in partnership with Simons Design and the University of Lincoln. The Hall is now a major exemplar of sustainable construction techniques, incorporating many renewable energy features and minimal waste. It is a very low CO2 impact building constructed from local timber and earth from the site.
